An insightful session on Writing a Research Proposal was successfully conducted as part of the ongoing Research Training Camp. The session was facilitated by Prof. Dr. Brihaspati Sigdel, guiding participants through the essential components of developing a structured and scientifically sound research proposal.
Conducted from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM via Microsoft Teams, the session emphasized preparing research proposals in accordance with the standards and expectations of the Institutional Review Committee (IRC). Participants were oriented on how to align their proposals with ethical guidelines and institutional requirements for approval.
Key areas covered included formulating a clear research question, defining objectives, conducting background literature review, and selecting appropriate study designs and methodologies. Special focus was given to structuring proposals into sections such as introduction, methodology, ethical considerations, and referencing.
The session also provided practical insights into writing clear, concise, and feasible proposals that meet academic and ethical standards. The interactive approach allowed participants to engage actively, discuss ideas, and clarify their queries.
The session concluded with positive feedback from participants, highlighting its relevance and effectiveness in preparing them for submitting research proposals to the IRC and undertaking future research projects.
